Joker was quite a spoiled child, raised in a large masion located out on the country in a large vast field located by the forest which led to the city. He was a happy child along with happy parents. A happy perfect simple life, he thrived to make other people happy too.
By his late teens, he was painting his face, sneaking out to the city, performing silly tricks for the children who passed by, giving out candies, he loved the way their faces lit up and their eyes sparkled as he goofily walked into the town square "tripping along the way. Sometimes the older kids would walk by and throw things at him from rocks, to tomatoes, but his parents always told him "if someones giving you a hard time just smile" and so he did his smile grew wider and wider he didn't want to give them the reaction they wanted but, that didnt last long soon that wide gleeful smile contorted into sheer anger, then into sadness day by day. The kids assumed it was an act so the laughed and cheered him on.

One morning Joker got ready packing his supplies with a heavy heart and judgy parents. He slowly walked into the town square by now everyone had known about him and waited expectantly for him. He trudged into the square, but he didnt see smiles he saw looks of concern, he didnt want to see that, he wanted to see them smile. So he fixed his face and posture doing his signature walk, everyone faces quickly lit up and they clapped and cheered as he juggled some bowling pins "accidentally" dropping each and everyone on his head He continued these silly acts till the after noon promptly leaving afterwards, smile disappearing. He got home and dropped his bags at the front door just to find all his things at the front door. He looked up to see his mother looking at him in disdain  "take a shower before you leave." said sternly
"And here you go." She gave him a letter it was made out of rather fancy paper and had a wax seal on it with an odd symbol. He stuffed it in his pocket, he'll read it after. He bowed in thanks to his mom and rushed to the shower. He stared blanky into the with wall "Just smile..." he whispered.
"Just smile..." he said slowly as a smile crept up on his lips
"Just smile..." he said as he stepped out of the shower
"..Just...Just smile" he said as he reached for his pants and grabbed the letter out of his pocket
He slowly opened the letter with a manic smile, teeth and all, he took out the letter, he read it slowly
"Dear Joker,
We invite you to our mansion to come and play with us. If you win you will earn a handsome reward including your very own circus at Moon River Park! Where you'll get to make all the good children happy. Isnt that what you desire? If so you are welcome to come and join our game!" His eyes moved ro the bottom of the page "And remember Joker just smile..."
"Yes..." he agreed
"Just smile, Just smile, JUST SMILE!" he repeated it over and over till he was screeching it out he opened the drawer to the bathroom sink "just smile...." he said in a hoarse whisper.
He reached for an old razor blade "just smile..." he said as he slowly and carefully brought it up to his face.
"Just..." he stabbed the razorblade in his cheek bringing it down to the corners of his lips doing the same with the other "smile..."
He looked at himself in the mirror admiring his permanent smile ignoring the blood pouring down his neck and going to his chest. He calmly reached for his clothes and put them on blood still pouring from his permanent smilehe walked out, his mom who was outside the door stared at him in horror as he walked by as if she wasnt there she follwed him to the front door worried. But instead Joker greabbed her by the collar to say his final words, fear in her eyes and blood dripped all over her "Remember mama....just smile" he let her go softly before walking to the door giggling. He slammed it behind him grabbing none of his things except his props.

He walked, he walked for days, blood was cracked and dried on his face, tongue more rough and dryer than a cats. He was in a forest that was rather dark and very damp, water dropplets from leaves dripped on his head. But he continued on the trail proudly wearing his permanent smile.

It seemed like hours passed till up ahead he saw a gate he picked up his pace avoiding fallen branches the gate grew closer and closer till he stood infront, it was covered in dead vines he waited there a few minutes looking around for a way to get in. Thats when the gate suddnely opened on its own rather slowly. He walked through quickly, and jogged up and knocked on the large wooden door excitedly, the place was rather dark and creepy but also really elegant looking he looked around a bit until the door opened into darkness, he peered in in confusion, suddenly, he heard a hoarse whisper from the darkness "oh you are wearing your smile how pleasant." Thats when cold hands suddenly grabbed at him dragging inot the darkness he screamed helplessly as he grabbed onto whatever he could, rocks, vines, bricks. But the hands overpowered him and dragged him into the darkness, Joker was never heard from again... or was he...?

This is an interesting almost origin story of one of our most beloved... or hated clowns. Good job!
