Dear Detectives,
Identity V has finished this week’s server maintenance starting from 8:00 am (UTC+8) August 23rd, which will approximately take 180 mins to complete. [During this time, you will be unable to login. Thank you for your patience and understanding.]

New Discoveries
  • Treasure: The Season 1 Essence Sphere 5 is available. New costumes, emotes and accessorieshave been updated. When you receive the Poseidon's Crown costume you will alsoreceive the hunter, the Feaster. This character can only be used in quick andcustom match modes during the first week;
  • Map: The all new Lakeside Village map is available. What secrets lie in this unfortunateknown village where the villagers mysteriously vanished? Go and find out!During the first week of availability, this map will not be available in rankmatches, but can be played in quick and custom games;
  • Free for alimited time: the survivor, Quarterback and the hunter, Soul Weaver are freefor a limited time;
  • Battle: Added new UI options for the placement of the stare button when playing against theGeisha;
  • Battle:Adjusted the spawning areas for survivors and hunters to prevent survivorsspawning next to hunters at the start of the game;
  • Battle:Slightly increased the preparation time for hunters in the lobby so that theyhave more time to choose their characters and skills;
  • Battle: Changed the positions of some cipher machines on the Red Church and Hospital maps toprevent the concentration of cipher machines in one area. Also, co-op decodingspeed has been appropriately reduced;
  • Battle: Added a surrender function for hunters. When the game has passed the 8-minute mark,hunters can choose to surrender in the settings panel. Should they choose to doso, all survivors in the game will be regarded as having escaped the manor andtheir points will be calculated according to calculation rules;
  • Battle: Changed the position of the buttons for the 'Dash Hit' and 'Soul Departure' specialabilities for the Geisha to avoid unintentionally activating the wrong ability;
  • Battle:Multiple options have been added to the 'Quick Message' system, which can becustomized in settings;
  • Battle: A new attack assist option has been added to settings. When turned off, hunters willno longer automatically turn towards survivors when attacking;
  • Battle:Survivors will be automatically switched to sprint mode after recovering fromincapacitated state;
  • Battle: Modified deduction points for survivors: the ratio for Bravery points has beenincreased; points for pursuit and fearlessness have been increased; stunninghunters are counted as persistence points; points for decoding and escapinghave been reduced;
  • Battle: Reduce dthe density of Jack's fog in areas affected;
  • Rank match:Added tier settlement reward. When a season has ended players that played in atleast 10 ranked matches will receive corresponding rewards according to thehighest tier they reach during the season. S1 end time: Sep. 13 (beforemaintenance);
  • - Chat: Portraitand portrait frames have been added to chat;
  • Settlement: theprogress of deduction quests will not be shown on the settlement tab should aplayer quit a game;
  • Settlement:'Like' function now available. You can like other players on the settlementpage. The total amount of likes a player receives is recorded in their profile;
  • Name change:The cooldown period after changing your name has been changed from 30 days to 7days;
  • UI: Adjustedthe expression of getting repetitive things. The animation of transforming intofragments will only be played after you click the “quit” button.
  • Graphics:Modified graphics quality on maps, addressing the issues of freezing and phones heating up;
  • Graphics: Aemote has been added for the Geisha's Bride costume on the display screen.  The display of the 'falling butterfly' accessory for the prajna form has been added. New sounds for the emotes of thepeacock costumes has been added on the display screen;
  • Graphics:Emotes have been added on the display screen for the Gamekeeper's Punk andGoldsmith costumes;
  • Graphics:Optimized beating heart prompt for the Mind's Eye character;
  • Graphics:Improved the collision of pillars at the entrance of the Hospital to avoidgetting stuck when hugging the pillar as players move.
  • Graphics: Addedspecial sound effects for Mr. Whiskers;
  • Graphics:Optimized the appearance of some character costumes.


Bug Fixes
  • Repaired an issue where in some situations there would be a delay in players enteringbattles due to the game lagging and repaired an issue where some players with lagging devices would spawn next to hunters;
  • Repaired anissue where a player's attempted vault through the one-way window on the SacredHeart Hospital map would possibly fail whilst using stare;
  • Repaired anissue where the Coordinator is unable to hit Jack with the flare gun when sheis in the fog and he is outside the area of fog;
  • Repaired anissue where survivors who struggle free after a hunter is struck with a palletcannot be hit with fog strike;
  • Repaired anissue where players may accidentally open a chest or locker when navigating thescreen;
  • Improved thegraphics of the teleport trait;
  • Repaired anissue where there would be abnormalities when female characters used theflashlight;
  • Modified thelayout of the frame rate prompt in battles to avoid affecting controls;
  • Repaired anissue where the Game keeper is unable to hit survivors with his chain hook thatare vaulting or pushing pallets;
  • Repaired anissue where the icon for the hunter talent, Hindsight, doesn't display thenumber of layers;
  • Repaired anissue where prompt arrows don't disappear after a player that has beeneliminated or has escaped enters the game as a spectator when the prompt arrow for 'Chill' is displayed;
  • Repaired anissue where Hell Ember can use teleport when puppets are flying;
  • Repaired a bugwhere players trying to get unstuck from the barrel in the house on the Arms Factory map can go through the wall;
  • Repaired a bugthat caused puppets controlled by the Mechanic to teleport after opening alocker;
  • Repaired an issue where the Mercenary would become stuck after using Iron Dash;
  • Repaired an issue where parts of the map would disappear when Smiley Face players rejointhe game after becoming disconnected;
  • Repaired an issue where multiple characters can vault windows simultaneously;
  • Repaired an issue where the special visual effects for some costumes would disappear afterentering or exiting a locker;
  • Repaired an issue where the game will start to freeze after a hunter uses the Excitementability;
  • Repaired an issue concerning the disparity between actual survivor traits and their description;
  • Repaired an issue where hunters are able to hit survivors on the other side of a rocket chair with a survivor fastened to it when performing a regular attack.

Wow so hunters got what?  A surrender button and some fog for Jack, that's it seriously?  After playing 10 or so games after the update, have fun with the complaints from people with long wait times in rank battles because everyone has stopped playing hunters.  

If you are going to spread out ciphers, have the hunter be a little faster.  Playing as a survivor, I actually liked having them closer together.

Instead of having a huge red blob show up covering the survivor which allows the hunter to see nothing, how about just silhouette the survivor for 5 seconds.

Glad you sort of fixed chat, are you ever going to let soul weavers chat before a match (dont know if that is for all hunters)?  

Co-op ciphering has been reduced?!?? By what, .000001%?  

Change the button location for abilities for ALL hunters, or make the UI adjustable.  

Survivors get a special way out if 3 are captured.  Makes sense, especially if there are 4 ciphers left to do.  How about silhouette the last survivor if 3 have escaped?  You can hopefully see the changes you have made or haven't made, are not evenly done.  I wouldn't be surprised if you get several more complaints after this update.
